Rest in Peace ; Loved Ones Can Rest Easily Thanks to a Pounds 2, 000 Cemetery Restoration Gift From Across the Atlantic. Ian Jones Reports

ACOUPLE who returned to their home village to find the cemetery in a terrible state have donated pounds 2, 000 to help stop it relapsing into a similar condition. Trevor Jones and his wife Eurwen both hail originally from Llysfaen near Colwyn Bay but now live in Ontario, Canada.

Charity Champs Large Measure of Generosity

REGULARS at The Magpie and Stump in Towyn have filled a huge whisky bottle with their loose change and raised a whopping pounds 225. 87 for Child Line Wales' North Wales Base in Rhyl. Gerry Frobisher, chairman of Denbighshire Friends of Child Line, said "This is an amazing amount which will go towards making sure more calls from North Wales to the centre are answered and even more children helped.

FOND memories of a popular character and diligent fundraising by his devoted daughter raised pounds 2, 230 for a cancer treatment centre. All the time that John Bradshaw was being treated at Glan Clwyd hospital, he insisted that his family did something to help raise money for equipment to aid other patients. Sadly, John, who was 57 when he died, did not see his wish realised. But his daughter Christina did him proud by arranging a charity event in his memory at the Kinmel Bay Club.
