THE St Helens head office of glass-maker Pilkington has been raided by European Commission officials searching for evidence of a possible price fixing cartelThe operation was one of several carried out at glass-making factories in six European countries this week. As well as Pilkington, officials also raided French firm Saint- Gobain and Belgium-based Glaverbel, a unit of Japan's biggest glass- maker, Asahi Glass.
