N.Wales Nuclear Plant to Be Sold
A NORTH Wales nuclear power plant may be sold off under controversial plans leaked last night. The board of British Nuclear Fuels was yesterday believed to have decided to sell the company's clean-up subsidiary.
A FORMER Liverpool city councillor was one of the Labour Party stewards who ejected an 82-year-old protester from the party conference. Peter Killeen, chairman of Liverpool's Holly Lodge Girls School and one-time regional organiser for the party, was among stewards criticised for the way the protest in the conference centre at Brighton had been handled.

Four Face Charges Over Grave Robbery
FOUR people arrested over the theft of a pensioner's body from a grave were last night charged with conspiracy to blackmail, Staffordshire Police said. They were arrested in pre-planned raids at addresses in Manchester and the West Midlands nearly a year after 82-year-old Gladys Hammond's remains were stolen from a graveyard in Yoxall, Staffordshire.

A 25-YEAR-OLD man has died more than a week after suffering serious head injuries in a vicious attack at a Liverpool city centre bar. Police last night named the victim as Christopher McBride, an administration worker from Aigburth.
