Football: Benitez May Hand Fowler Anfield Debut ; Fa Cup Fourth Round

RAFAEL BENITEZ may hand Robbie Fowler his second Liverpool debut against Birmingham City at Anfield after seeing his side clinch their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup at Fratton Park yesterday. Liverpool went through after a Steven Gerrard penalty and a second goal from John Arne Riise was enough to see off Harry Redknapp's Portsmouth in the fourth round tie on the South Coast.

Football: New Number One Seremet's Staying

GOALKEEPER Dino Seremet's loan spell with Tranmere Rovers is to be extended by a further two months. Luton manager Mike New-ell has agreed to allow Seremet to remain at Prenton Park on the proviso that the big Slovenian can be called back to Kenilworth Road in an emergency.
