Canal Project to Include a Transformed Pier Head

A pounds 6M plan to transform land at Pier Head into a world- class square is expected to be approved next week. Plans were drawn up to make the area around British Waterways' canal extension a visitor attraction in its own right, as part of the multi-million pound redevelopment.

Pounds 5m in Euro Aid for New Museum

THE new Museum of Liverpool, due to be built on the city's waterfront at Mann Island, has been awarded pounds 5m from Merseyside's Objective One programme. The grant will help cover the costs of building the new museum, and comes after the Northwest Regional Development Agency allocated a pounds 26.8m grant towards the controversial project.

THIEVES have stolen two high speed superbikes from a former British Superbike Champion.
