SECURITY patrols at a North Wales county's schools will be stepped up in term time to stamp out vandalism. Funding has been made available to extend the successful Operation Gingerbread crackdown on damage and bad behaviour at Wrexham schools. Wales: Free Prescriptions in Wales From Tomorrow ; 'Barrier to Health Removed'
THOUSANDS more patients in Wales will no longer have to pay for NHS medicines when prescription charges are abolished tomorrow. Health minister Dr Brian Gibbons declared that the landmark decision by the Assembly government finally removed cost as a barrier to better health in Wales.
All prescriptions will be free for people in Wales from April 1, 2007. Over-the-counter drugs, which are medications that do not require a prescription, should continue to be bought in the normal way.
