Ten Days Left to Rescue Lewis's ; Store Administrator in Last-Ditch Talks with Potential Buyer

LIVERPOOL'S famous Lewis's department store was 10 days away from closure last night, as administrators faced a race against time to find a buyer before the store is closed on May 12. As the window signs were put up declaring that the store will shut at the end of next week, the administrators said they were "still hopeful" of securing a sale for the iconic Liverpool department store.

Millionaire Fan Dies in Air Crash

A MILLIONAIRE Chelsea fan and his teenage son were among four people killed in a helicopter crash yesterday - 11 years after the club's vice-chairman died in a similar tragedy. Wreckage of the Twin Squirrel craft and the bodies of 44-year- old tycoon Phillip Carter, his 17-year-old son Andrew, pilot Stephen Holdich, 49, and friend Jonathan Waller, 42, were found in woods in Wansford, Cambridgeshire, less than a mile from the Carters' 14th- century stately home in Thornhaugh.
