BRITISH Airways shares were on the front foot yesterday as it became the latest company to find itself at the centre of takeover speculation. The UK flag carrier rose nearly 5%, or 21.5p, to 482.5p, after it emerged that Goldman Sachs had raised its stake in the company from less than 3%to 5.14%, sparking rumours the investment bank may be engineering a takeover attempt.
LIVERPOOL artists will have their work displayed at project and cost management consultancy Davis Langdon's new Cunard Building offices, two floors below their old ones. The firm, which is working on a number of major projects such as Liverpool Art and Design Academy, the pounds 1bn Paradise Street retail project, the Liverpool Arena and Convention Centre, and St Paul's Square, is working with a number of artists via the South Bohemia Art Gallery.
