Young Woman Dead in Car

A YOUNG woman has been found dead in a car at a North Wales beauty spot. A walker came across the car parked in bushes at Garth near Llangollen yesterday.

Brunstrom Apologises

POLICE chief Richard Brunstrom is to make another apology - this time to the MP he derided in a TV documentary. Mr Brunstrom made a personal attack on Wrexham MP Ian Lucas in a discussion with his deputy Clive Wolfendale who will also apologise, it was confirmed yesterday.

Wales: Cost for First-Time House Buyers Falls

IT is more difficult for first-time buyers to get a foot on the housing ladder in North Wales - but the cost of doing so has actually fallen slightly, a report last night revealed. A survey by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) revealed that, for the first time since 2006, housing affordability improved, with mortgage payments falling slightly from 33.8 to 33.3% of take home pay.

Engineer Broke His Neck in Pub Brawl

A HELICOPTER engineer who took part in a brawl at a Llandudno pub ended up with a broken neck, a court was told yesterday. Timothy Parkinson, 38, appeared before the town's magistrates in a wheelchair with his friend Steven Baldwin, 34, also a helicopter engineer.
