Study to Help Care for Stroke Patients
STROKE patients and carers could benefit from new research at University Hospital Aintree (Fazakerley). The TRACS (Training Caregivers after Stroke) study is hoping to improve the rehabilitation of stroke patients, and reduce the burden on their carers, by providing a structured training programme for carers.
LIVERPOOL councillors have called on the Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority to be more open about plans to develop a waste incinerator. Proposed by consultants on behalf of the waste authority, the incinerator would burn 800,000 tonnes of waste each year.
