Summary
JUVENILE lizards are being relocated to restore the population at the North Wales seaside. The Countryside Council for Wales and the Herpetological Conservation Trust (HCT) released about 60 juvenile sand lizards near Aberdyfi and Gronant, bred mainly by volunteers and by Chester and Jersey zoos.
The sand lizard became extinct from the dunes of north and west Wales in the 1960s. But, thanks to relocation projects since 1995, the number is increasing.See the full content of this document
