HOPES that aerospace workers in north-east Wales will get a major share of the work on Airbus' new A350 aircraft rose last night after the company confirmed the site would remain its centre of excellence for wing-building.

Details of exactly how much work will be coming to the Broughton plant will not be revealed until next month but it seems the company will rely on the expertise of the Welsh wingmakers to get its new jet off the ground.
