HOME Secretary Alan Johnson is utterly wrong to claim that immigration is good for our economy.
Has he not read the report by the Lords economic affairs committee last November, which concluded that the benefits were "close to zero"? Of course, migrants plug gaps in the labour market but by spending the wages they earn they create as many jobs as they take.
