LIVERPOOL'S greatest painter, George Stubbs, is finally getting the exhibition he deserves - a huge show at London's National Gallery which opened this week and will be running throughout the summer.

Stubbs, born in Dale Street, Liverpool, in 1724, has had a patchy reputation since his death at the age of 81 in 1806.
