THE UK's second largest housebuilder, Barratt Developments, yesterday said a "more challenging" market had hit sales.
The group said the impact of five interest rate hikes in 15 months and the summer's credit squeeze on mortgages had seen lower sales across its sites compared to last year in the 19 weeks since July 1.
