WEST End actress Connie Fisher is to star in The Sound of Music in North Wales next year. The identity of the lead Maria von Trapp role had been unclear but the Daily Post can today reveal the exciting news for the Llandudno shows in May 2010.

Connie, 26, said: "I was going to take it (the role) till it reaches Edinburgh (which ends on February 20, next year), and then they asked me to stay on. It made sense to stay on that little bit longer. And it just made sense to start and end my run in Wales. I like synchronicity.
