THIS government is forever banging on about binge-drinking and the dangers it poses to people, especially young people - so why don"t they do something about supermarkets and off-licences selling big boxes of lager at incredibly cheap prices? As well as the health implications, the knock-on effect of the current situation - together with the government"s high taxes on beer sold in pubs - is that our community locals are being driven out of business.

It"s time the government took some responsibility for this dreadful state of affairs.
