HOW interesting to read in the Daily Post that motorcyclist deaths on North Wales roads have remained virtually constant since 2006, yet serious injuries are up considerably. Similar statistics apply to car drivers also, despite the vastly improved intrinsic safety of modern cars These sad figures reflect the trend throughout the years of the speed camera van operation and show a radical rethink of road safety policy needs to be done, to include the return of patrol cars to monitor and apprehend bad riders and drivers who may not necessarily be exceeding the speed limit.
However, what is the response from North Wales Police? The medicine isn't working so we're going to increase the dose even if it kills the patient! More speed cameras are the answer and we don't care if the evidence disproves our theory.See the full content of this document
