Summary
AN unusual run of south-easterly winds provided great potential for drift migration from the east. Together with Hurricane Earl hitting the east coast of the USA we could be in for a transatlantic visitor too.
As usual though, the east coast took direct hits with some great species: an eastern olivaceous warbler at Flamborough Head and a brown flycatcher nearby at Bempton. Common rosefinches, greenish and barred warblers were at several sites along with red-backed shrikes and wrynecks.See the full content of this document
