STAR bowler Darren Lacey made it eleven wins in eleven starts with another 21-8 top block performance to give defending champions Esclusham an 8-2 victory over Minydon Park in their clash. David A Jones 21-9 helped Esclusham take the aggregate by 156-118 but Sunny Rhyl remain level on points after their matching 8-2 win over Llay, helped by Jason Jones 21-5 and Andy Jones 21-7 while Gresford move into joint third place after their 8-2 romp at Deganwy.
Beaumaris restored their title challenge with a 8-2 success at Rhos Park, spearheaded by Hefin Jones 21-9 but the top-of-the-table promotion clash between leaders St Asaph and second-placed Llanrwst ended in a stunning 10-0 wipe-out by inspired Llanrwst. Their blistering form produced a 168-85 margin to take Llanrwst back to pole position in a freak total eclipse for the Saints.See the full content of this document
