FIVE people were taken to hospital after a fire engine on an emergency call was in collision with a coach full of children. The fire engine was negotiating a red light at a junction in Clacton-on- Sea, Essex, when the accident happened.

An Essex Ambulance spokesman said the coach was carrying 52 youngsters and their carers on a day out from London.
