ALTHOUGH Liverpool brigantine Zebu, pictured right, was only built in 1938 in Sweden, her hull derives from the 1680 refinement of a design dating back to Viking times.

Her Albert Dock home is appropriate, as these tall ships also regularly ventured from the Baltic into Liverpool, bringing timber for the port's thriving shipyards and building trade.
