LIVERPOOL'S Labour party suffered a major blow after one its most popular councillors last night resigned from the party "ir disgust".

Croxteth councillor Nadia Stewart cited in-party bullying, discrimination, rule-breaking and "appalling" party administration and communication for her decision to resign the whip and stand as an independent.
