Summary
BUSINESS confidence on Merseyside has dropped considerably in recent months, according to research findings from the quarterly economic survey carried out by the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce . In the second quarter survey of 2005, just 46% of Merseyside businesses believe they will see an increase in turnover in the next 12 months, down from 60% in the first quarter.
The outlook for company profitability was even bleaker with only 25% of businesses expecting a rise in profits during the same 12- month period, down from 53% for the first quarter.See the full content of this document
