And where better to watch this often crazy, occasionally sad, sometimes happy, always interesting, parade of life than from behind the window of a cafe, while clasping a mug of coffee or tea.

That is why Tom Murphy, celebrated for his sculptures of such figures as Noel Chavasse, Dixie Dean, Bill Shankly, John Lennon and the Moores brothers, is later this month opening the Liverpool Art Cafe.
