A CENSUS of England and Wales has revealed that in 2001, almost 40% of people in Liverpool have no formal qualifications.

Other findings include that the sector supplying the most employment for men in the city was the motor industry, followed by health and social work, then manufacturing. Women most commonly worked in secretarial work.
