Summary
A FAMILY of children was taken to Alder Hey Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after being caught asleep in second floor bedrooms as a blaze broke out in a kitchen.
Four boys and one girl, aged between five and 11 were fast asleep at their Westminster Road home above shops in Kirkdale at 11.50pm on Monday. Two pumps from the Kirkdale station were called out and quickly discovered two adults, a 50-year-old grandmother and the children's mother, aged 34, were on the first and second floor of the home.See the full content of this document
