JOHN PRESCOTT is trying to push through planning rules that will make it easier to build on brownfield sites. There is nothing wrong with that, however the same "Planning Policy Statement 3" has had a key paragraph omitted which will also allow development to take place on green spaces, including playing fields.
Whilst I accept local authorities could reject plans, developers could use the new planning regulations to appeal in court. This is nothing more than a sneaky trick to build on our green spaces, when there are plenty of brownfield sites.See the full content of this document
