THE immediate reaction to the notion of using Merseyside as the venue for breaking up Britain's toxic warships is likely to be one of alarm for most people. Starkly put, the idea of rusting hulks containing asbestos and other hazardous materials ending their days on the Mersey sounds deeply worrying.
