RURAL tourism in Wales is proving successful despite a 'mishmash' of Assembly Government initiatives which are often 'confusing and obscure', a report said yesterday. AMs on a cross-party committee called for a review of WAG policies to further develop the holiday industry in the countryside.

Ministers should concentrate on what the sector felt was important, such as funding, transport links and broadband coverage, the inquiry concluded.
