DUNCAN FLETCHER believes the confidence running through England's triumphant Test squad has increased competition for places as they prepare to extend their unbeaten run against West Indies in the second npower Test at Edgbaston.

This week's 210-run opening Test victory at Lord's was England's seventh triumph in their last eight Tests and their fifth successive victory on home soil -- their best run since winning eight in succession against India and South Africa in 1959-60.
