THERE is more chance of Freddie Flintoff returning home across the Atlantic on a pedalo than there is of Ireland winning the cricket World Cup - or of the sport entering the country's sporting psyche.

It's right that the Irish team should enjoy their moment in the sun after their surprise win over Pakistan in the World Cup. And it was undoubtedly a great result for the competition.
