AT the beginning of August last season, Oulton Park led the ECB Premier Division in the Murray Smith Accountants Cheshire County League with nine wins and 271 points with Bowdon a poor second on 259. Seven weeks later, however, Bowdon were celebrating a hat- trick of titles with 375 points, deflated Oulton winning only two further games.

A year later, Oulton again top the table with seven wins and 252 points, well clear of nearest rivals Christleton and most good judges reckon they won't slip up again this time.
