IT WAS interesting to read Guy Wallis's comments in last Wednesday's Business Post urging Liverpool to work harder to ensure that it can match Manchester as a major commercial city. He is, of course, quite right, a strong commercial sector is critical to the future of the City Region's economy. Yet the challenge of achieving this is not just the responsibility of the city council.
You also reported recently that a new Administrative Court had been successfully launched in the North West, located in, no surprise, Manchester. This being one of four such courts set up by government, the others located in Leeds, Cardiff and Birmingham.See the full content of this document
