LIVERPOOL and Everton football clubs will not be offered a pounds 20m "sweetener" of public money towards a shared stadium, the Daily Post can reveal.

It had been widely reported that such a sum was on the table from the North West Development Agency to encourage the clubs to share a single new ground.
