AS we arrived at The Corn Mill we marvelled at the sight of the superb 18th-century mill set beside the rushing waters of the River Dee at Llangollen.
The Corn Mill ground flour for at least 700 years, and owes its foundation to the Cistercian monks of Valle Crucis. The building as it now stands was rebuilt in 1786 with three pairs of grinding stones, and continued as a working mill up until 1974.
