WALES coach Steve Hansen produced a Gallic shrug of the shoulders yesterday after two refereeing decisions arguably cost his team an upset at the Millennium Stadium.

Referee Stuart Dickinson ruled out a second-half try fromRhys Williams after Tom Shanklin took out two French defenders,but had earlier missed a forward pass in the build up to a try from French scrum-halfJean-Baptiste Elissalde which put the game out of grasping Welsh fingertips in a pulsating finale. A try from Martyn Williams in the final three minutes brought Wales back within a converted score of Les Bleus,despite the visitors seeming to have been in control of the match with 10 minutes to go.
