THE CHESHIRE Boys Championship, a major and early season challenge for the county's talented youngsters, returns to its natural home, Delamere, for the 36-hole 2005 tournament on Thursday.

The championship was first played in 1965 at Crewe when the winner was Ian Bradshaw, an early highlight in his career, which was to lead to England recognition.
