NEW figures have revealed disastrous income falls on upland and hill farms in Wales.
The annual FarmBusiness Survey by the Institute of Rural Sciences, Aberystwyth University, shows upland livestock farm incomes plunged 40% (pounds 11,958 from pounds 20,796). Cattle and sheep enterprises on hill farms saw incomes drop by more than a third (pounds 9,626 from pounds 15,172), while hill sheep farms were 25% down on last year (pounds 15,952 from pounds 21,225).See the full content of this document
