WREXHAM manager Denis Smith paid tribute to his patched-up squad, following yesterday's 3-1 Racecourse victory over Barnet, their first since the opening day of the season.

The Dragons, who were without seven senior players due to injury and suspension, gave home league debuts to three recent recruits in Robbie Foy, Paul Warhurst and Paul Linwood, each of whom made a significant contribution to the home side's success.
