WREXHAM face a trip into the unknown after Saturday's FA Cup first-round draw pitted them against non-league opposition in the form of Conference South club Hayes. Manager Den is Smith, who admitted he knew nothing about his side's Middlesex-based opponents, revealed that Dragons' scout Terry Smith, who is a teacher in that part of London, had been on the phone within minutes of the draw being made. "With Terry living down there I'm sure I'll know a lot more about Hayes before the end of the week, " he said.

"From the point of view of the competition, it's what the FA Cup is all about and I would imagine they will possibly be disappointed they've not draw a club such as Hull City or Sheffield Wednesday. "But we have to view the draw as a good opportunity for us to make progress in the cup and it's up to us to make sure we don't waste it.
