ACTION movie veteran Kurt Russell took suffering for his art to new levels for his latest film, the ocean liner disaster epic Poseidon.

In the film, a starker and more realistic remake of the 1972 classic The Poseidon Adventure, 54-year-old Kurt plays a retired politician who is on board the luxury liner with his daughter (Emmy Rossum) when a freak wave flips the huge vessel over.
