THOUSANDS of businesses across North Wales will have received notice from the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) of the new rateable value of their business property.
Whilst this year's business rates are based on valuations of 2003 property prices, next year's will be based on an assessment of property values in 2008 and, as we all know, there was a boom in property prices over this five year period.
