ACADEMY graduate Nathan Eccleston's progress through the ranks at Anfield has been overshadowed by some disappointing results for Liverpool.

As the 18-year-old winger suffered two defeats on his first two appearances for Rafael Benitez's first team, his former under-18s team-mates were also beaten 2-0 by Everton in Saturday's derby clash at the Kirkby Academy.
