POLICE are preparing to get into the spirit of the Grand National Meeting at Aintree this week - but warned bad behaviour would not be tolerated. Superintendent Julie Cooke, the operational policing commander during the festival, said her colleagues had been briefed to enjoy the atmosphere but remain vigilant during one of Merseyside Police's biggest operations of the year.

She told the Daily Post: "The Grand National is usually a very good-natured event.
