A FORMER Wigan and Great Britain rugby league player suffered a heart attack and crashed on a busy motorway causing tailbacks that led to another smash in which a family of six died.

An inquest heard David Myers, 37, from War rington, had traces of amphetamine and anabolic steroids in his blood which may have contributed to his collapse.
