A NEW three-month suspension at vaccine maker Chiron's Liverpool factory began yesterday although a source told the Daily Post the company was "absolutely focused" on resuming production.

The Speke plant's licence to produce the flu vaccine fluvirin was first suspended in October when inspectors from the UK's Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) discovered contamination in products bound for the US.
