JEONG JANG became the fourth South Korean to win a women's major when she held off a challenge from former champion Sophie Gustafson with a final round 69 in the Weetabix Women's British Open at Royal Birkdale.

The leader from round one, the 25-year-old Jang had started the day five shots ahead of playing partner Annika Sorenstam and American Cristie Kerr, and never looked like faltering.
