DRIVING rain and muddy conditions were not conducive for good attacking rugby and so the scoreline reflected this from an Anselmians perspective as their backs were never given an opportunity to run the ball.

Anselmians gained the opening score after five minutes when Wilmslow forwards dragged down a rolling maul. King sent the ball flying through the posts for a lead of 3-0. However, the home side soon equalised when Anselmians were caught offside.
