MORE than 27 motorists and passengers were arrested and over 40 cars were seized during the biggest-ever crackdown on crime on Wirral's transport network.

Class A drugs and weapons including knives were obtained by police officers during Operation Outmaster last night, which deployed 300 people from the police, Army and enforcement agents at nine sites across the peninsular's roads, and network and bus routes.
